Christine Dion has been creating art for publication and collecting for over 30 years. She has illustrated books for children's educational publishing and her work has been featured in several professional art books. Christine is an award-winning artist and lives in New Hampshire with her husband, Deacon Joe and several Pomeranians. She enjoys the Maine seacoast, working out in the gym, practicing Jiu Jitsu and Muay Thai Kickboxing and sharing studio space with her Pomeranian pups!
As an award-winning, internationally published fine artist and the granddaughter of a former NH State Trooper, Christine wanted to find a way to pay it forward with her God-given artistic talent. In late 2015, after finding the NH Canine Trooper's Association Facebook page, she contacted the organization and offered her services in memorializing their deceased K9 Troopers. K9 Lucky was the first K9 to be memorialized and his portrait was given to his former handler in October 2016.
In the Fall of 2016, the NH Canine Trooper's Association presented Christine with a plaque, making her an Honorary Member, in recognition of her commitment of dedication in the furtherance of their mission. It is her hope that by honoring the canine's dedication and service to the State of NH, the portraits will bring comfort to their handlers and families.
